We have begun production of a new work. I will be working energetically from now on.

I am Masahiko Yokota, a contemporary artist living in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.

It has been sunny and quite hot in Sapporo every day, but it never gets over 30 degrees Celsius.

Today, I would like to report on my recent activities.

I have not been able to paint any new works for the past four months because I have been busy writing articles for this site, researching the art world in Japan and overseas for the past three years, collecting contact information for art collectors, and contacting them.

Now, I am trying to come up with as many ideas as possible and to create original drawings based on each idea .

The photo above is one of them.

I also use sketchbooks, but I tend to use digital drawing because digital drawing is more efficient.

I will keep you posted on these original drawings as they become available.
