Now, the Earth is perishing at an accelerating rate, with conflicts and refugees multiplying. Freedom and democracy are increasingly under threat.

I believe that artists who remain indifferent and silent in the face of such realities have no value as artists.

No fame or fortune has any meaning if the planet collapses.

Looking back through history, there has never been a truly great artist—whether Picasso, Kandinsky, Klee, John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, or Charlie Chaplin—who did not stand against dictatorship, militarism, and human egotism—self-centeredness.

Still, I am not yet ready to say, "The masses shine bright, but I alone am like twilight" and quietly leave for another land.

Because I still have work to do.

I must fuel my own heart and ignite my desire. I have not yet done all I can.

As Hozu Yamamoto (山本豊津 Tokyo Gakkery 東京画廊)once said, we must not speak as if we are already withered and done.

I must create more works that serve others, and convey the mysteries and secrets of art and aesthetics I have discovered in a way people can understand.

Like Osamu Tezuka(手塚治虫), I believe in reincarnation.

Therefore, if I am to be reborn, I must leave behind my works and writings in this world, so that I may continue from the point I have now reached.
This will stand as proof that I lived in Japan during this era, and serve as a valuable legacy for future generations.
